Prospective Members

Here is a letter to our prospective members, from President Jerry Jackson.


We welcome all commissioned and warrant officers, active, non-active, retired, Reserve and National Guard of all services, Coast Guard, USPHS, and NOAA. Membership is also open to the spouses and widows of members. The Mount Rainier MOAA chapter serves the Joint Base Lewis-McChord region. We hope you will choose to join our chapter and attend our monthly meetings. We really would like to have you join us and make the chapter strong.

2019 Christmas Gala

The Mount Rainier Chapter has 61 plus years of providing a strong voice in support of veteran’s issues, active duty soldier issues, and national defense issues. We are active at the county, state, and national levels, ensuring your voice is heard. Additionally, we support 16 JROTC and the PLU Senior ROTC program with awards for demonstrated outstanding leadership potential.

The Mount Rainier Chapter is an affiliate of the national Military Officers Association of America. MOAA and it’s affiliated councils and chapters are non-partisan.

  Please note: Chapter dues are separate from national dues.  Dues are $20 a year or $55 for three years.  For our auxiliary membership, it is $5 a year or $12 for three years.
